Candle filter is basically a polishing filter working under pressure.The filter works in surface filtration & clean in place filtration principle.The filter consists of candle shaped filter alements made out of equi-diameter pipe.Each candle is covered with filter hose in polyproplyene,polyster,nylon and PTEE. These candle are arranged vertically in a pressure vessel.The number of candle to be fitted depends upon the filtration area. The filtration and cake formation takes place under pressure and the wet or dry discharge is possible by means of blow back.For continuous operation two filter are installed.
